Challenge

Investing in female founders, and innovation enablers is important for economic growth. Especially in times of change, female leaders have proven to be more resilient to financial crisis and experience economic slowdowns less frequently. This is why we want to support African female tech leaders on their leadership journeys.

Approach

In a collaboration with Female Founders, we have developed a 3-month leadership program focused on supporting African female tech leaders in becoming more resilient and confident leaders. The participants benefit from building a network of cross-industry female leaders, leadership know-how, and peer mentoring. The program starts with an in-person kick-off in Kigali, Rwanda followed by weekly online sessions boosting their leadership skills, Every session includes interactive workshops, subject matter experts across Europe and Africa, and concrete tools that participants can use in their roles right away.

Goal

Lead F aims to support African women who are tech founders, innovation enablers, and policy champions supporting local innovation ecosystems. Our goal is to enable these women with all the tools, strategies, and network they need in order to excel as leaders.
